Venturi Exposed Concealed

A leaking shower mixer could be caused by a few different reasons.
Please get a plumber to check if any seals need replacing. If they do, please take a picture of your shower mixer and email your query to technical@felton.co.nz and we can assist further.

How to service the Venturi mixer:

Venturi rotor and cam set

Exposed:
To open the valve, use either long-nosed pliers or the purpose-made universal spanner tool (supplied with Designer II roses and wallsets) and pull out the rotor.

Concealed:
Remove the nut and remove rotor.

VENTURI ROTOR INSTALLATION
1. Replace both hot and cold inlet seals with seals supplied.
2. For equal low/equal high-pressure systems ensure that a green rotor set is fitted.
3. For unequal pressure systems ensure that a white rotor set is fitted.
4. The enclosed silicone grease pack is for use on the O ring and rotor seal surface.

No, the Rotor and Cam sets come with a seal kit.

Unlikely, the Venturi shower mixer was sold from 2002 – 2010 and had a 5 year warranty.

Yes, parts are still available for the Venturi mixer, which was sold from 2002 to 2010. Two configurations were available – with the outlet concealed or exposed, but unfortunately both had the tendency to seize. O-ring grease helps to lubricate the o-rings on the rotor. Due to the closing action of the rotor over time, the o-ring lube will remove itself from the o-ring causing the rotor to become stiff and possibly seize.
